Kristin Bowles, Downtown Director - Communications & Member Relations
Kristin has been working with the association since 2022 and started out as a summer student assisting with events and marketing. Over the years she’s developed the social media, online presence and attended many community events and shares a passion to enhance the perception of Downtown Leduc. Through her journey she’s had the chance to get to know the faces behind a lot of our businesses and with the support of her team at The Chamber, Kristin will be taking a new role as the Downtown Director in 2025. Kristin and the Board of Directors are excited about upcoming 2025 projects and ideas to support the Downtown District's continued growth and to help member businesses thrive!

Amber Cook, Small Business Support Specialist
As the Small Business Support Specialist Amber is a valuable resource and asset to our local business owners and managers providing them with tools, resources, and a safe place to share problems, challenges, wins and successes and then brainstorm ideas and solutions. As a local Downtown Business owner Amber brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to other businesses as well as a passion to see small businesses and owners succeed and thrive.
Amber was on the Leduc Downtown Business Association board from 2020 – 2023 and was Executive Director of the LDBA from 2023 – 2024.

Brenda Smith-Goddu, Chair
2024 - 2026 Term
Owner-operator of Envision Medical Spa Inc., Brenda has been a long time active member of the Downtown Business Association, and is serving her third term on the Board of Directors. She is very passionate about the Downtown District and loves the work that has been accomplished. She especially looks forward to moving forward with our Strategic Plan. She sees this as an exciting time for all of us, as we move forward and work together for our community.

Alex Coenen, Vice Chair

Alex is Branch Manager at ATB, located in the heart of Leduc’s Downtown District. Being a current member, he’s passionate about seeing fellow local businesses thrive and is looking forward to playing a bigger role in our community.

Jana Hamilton, Secretary
2025 - 2027 Term
Jana is the owner of Connectivity Dance Ltd, Jana opened in Downtown Leduc in 2012 with the goal of connecting with the community and teaching students. To foster her goal of connecting with the Leduc community, she encourages students to participate in community events by volunteering, providing entertainment and activities. Apart from day to day business operations, Jana is continually involved in event coordinating and volunteers in local schools through the Jump Rope for Heart Program and is a director on various boards. Jana is looking forward to watching the Downtown community flourish, building partnerships and promoting the LDBA as a whole.

Shannon Shier, Treasurer
2025 - 2027 Term
Shannon recently moved from Wetaskiwin to Leduc and is looking forward to meeting people and getting to know the community of Leduc better by volunteering with the board. She has experience working with multiple boards and has worked on many projects and initiatives. With her experience and current position in the non-profit sector, she understands the commitment required to serve and will be a great addition to the board.

Councillor Ryan Pollard, Appointed Council Liaison
Ryan is the Appointed Director from the City of Leduc and Councillor Liaison.
Ryan Pollard has lived in Leduc since 2011. Ryan is originally from Prince Edward Island where he attended the University of Prince Edward Island and the University of New Brunswick. He was called to the PEI bar in 2006. He was a lawyer in private practice before coming to Alberta to and becoming a prosecutor. He was called to the bar of Alberta in 2009, and has prosecuted in communities throughout Alberta.
Ryan’s volunteer experience includes various community organizations, and especially youth groups. This includes Scouts Canada, Royal Canadian Air Cadets, and serving on the Family and Community Support Services advisory board.

Jennifer Garries, Non-Voting Director
Jennifer is the CEO of the Leduc, Nisku, Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce and sits on our board as a non-voting director as the Chamber representative.

Carley is the Economic Development Officer from the City of Leduc and sits on our board as a Non-Voting Director in the “Regional Economic Development Organizations” representative.
